Shad... check him out

Only really discovered this emcee but feeling his music a lot. Check out his 2005 LP When This Is Over but you gotta go and cop his new LP The Old Prince yourself! Very mellow, old sounding hip hop reminiscent of Pharcyde etc...

Rare Nas

got this over at rapup.net:

2 rare Nas tunes that are definitely worth a listen.

What an advert...

I know this is my second video post in a row but don't worry, I'll be upping more rare hip hop mp3s tomorrow.

Got this over at rapup.net... Don't think about it, just watch.

DJ JS-1, KRS One, & Rahzel (won)

Whatever happenned to the JS-1 LP? I picked up 2 12"s and they were both banging. I was expecting the same from the LP. I waited... but it never came...

Nice production from Domingo, good cuts, KRS as usual, and Rahzel actaully adds to the tune. Have a butchers...

Kanyeezle

Not too much to say about this but the bare facts. From 2003 (obviously), 'Ye and Consequence spit a few verses over Souls Of Mischief's classic 93 'Til Infinity. One for Kanye collectors....

Actually, while on the subject of 'Quence and Yeezy.... looks like Consequence finally released The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

"'Llow this American twang, I wanna hear some British Sh*t"

Karl Hinds response to Big L's Ebonics, laying out all the British slang (well, from 2000 anyway). For UK fans or anyone that listens to UK Hip Hop to clear up any confusion. Since I'm so kind, have the remix featuring Blak Twang and Seanie T as well.

"Look... Now"

DJ Honda / PMD track with a bassline dirtier than Mr. McGirt himself.

East Flatbush Project - Tried By 12 .mp3

Third and most famous single from producer Spencer Bellamy aka East Flatbush Project. The rapper on this is DeS. This blew quite a bit on the underground scene and is probably best known for BIGs freestyle over the beat. 110% worth your bandwidth.... download without delay.

A quick youtube search came up with the video:

"You about to get chopped by a man named Babu"

Remember Em's beef with Everlast? This is the shrapnel from that. Evidence from Dilated Peoples came back at Em's (well one of d12s) half-sentence directed at Ev. Quite a weak beef track but decent enough to occupy 4mb of your hard drive. I'm gonna upload the original D12 track that threw the first punch (Quitter) next month but at the moment it's at my brother's house who's off in Brazil for a few more weeks. Quitter is one of my personal favourite diss tracks ever so make sure you check back for that...

Da Ruckus ft Eminem - We Shine .mp3 (1998)

Old '98 Ruckus tune only really worth listening to for Senor Shady. Productions not bad either but who's downloading this for Ruckus really. Not even Em's finest verse but I'm sure all you Eminem fans wouldn't mind another song for the collection.

More Vinyl-ripped mp3s

A few more rare bits ripped from my vinyl collection...

Dr. Dre - Nuttin But A G Thang (Freestyle Remix) ft Snoop Dogg & DPG

Nice little freestyle session by the gang. Another unreleased Snoop verse. It fades out on the vinyl, I didn't do that.

Common - Tekzilla (produced by Hi Tek)

rapidshare.com link:

Haunting production by Hi-Tek on this one. Classic Common.

Cormega - A Slick Response (Nas Diss)

rapidshare.com link:

Surprise surprise... a Nas diss from Mega. I ripped this as I couldn't find a version of this that was a decent volume. Slick Rick Children's Story style rhymes over a beat made from the same sample BIG used for Juicy. If you didn't know, this is Mega's reply to Nas' Destroy & Rebuild from Stillmatic.

General Cornrow Wallace aka Birdman

Blak Twang - U Know .mp3

This one's for the younger sibling. Sick Blak Twang produced by Harry Love from before Twang dropped The Kik Off LP. This was released on Bad Magic and has done the rounds but I still couldn't find this anywhere online. If you like Twang or UK Hip Hop in general definitely download this one...

Alicia Keys - You Don't Know My Name (Columbus Mix)

This is the reggae version which blew up quite a bit when this tune first dropped.

Who wants zshare.net?

Due to someone telling me that rapidshare.com files are a bit long for people that aren't members, I'm going to start uploading with zshare.net as this is free for everyone.

Here are the links for the below two mp3s...

Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride (Extended Club Mix) ft Snoop Doggy Dogg

I'm sure you all know Let Me Ride from Dre's The Chronic but this unreleased mix is a gem. Don't be put off by he 10min+ length, it's worth your time for unheard Snoop verses and a 3 minute long guitar solo. Some nice horns added throughout give it a much nicer feel than the original as well. Enjoy...

50 Cent - Doo Wop Freestyle .mp3

One of the sickest tracks from my favourite 50 Cent release, Guess Who's Back. I downloaded the MP3s of the Guess Who's Back but this track was'nt included for some reason. Nice beat and 50 actually sounding good.

Hold on...

I'm still trying to figure out how to make additions to the site so as soon as I do I'll put up some nice Hip Hop vinyl rips of tunes that I haven't seen about that much on the net. I'll keep adding bits and pieces as and when so keep checking.
